This image was taken during our time in Iran, back in 1995. Liza and I were making our way overland from Europe to Australia, and spent 3 weeks (as long as our visa would allow) crossing the country. Our time in Iran was memorable, with its rich culture and friendly people, we would have loved to have stayed longer. Persepolis is a UNESCO World Heritage site about 70km outside of the city of Shiraz. It was great to spend the day amongst the ruins and gain an insight into Persian history. The other amazing thing, was that except for two other people, we had the whole complex to our selves.
